I've hardly slept Clark, let's not talk about that. [He only ever really feels comfortable in the water, and now he simply can't be in the water. It's a bit of an adjustment.]

Right. [He entwines his fingers, trying to gather every bit of information on his head and not visibly bother by Arthur's straight-to-work attitude.]

I did. I thought about showing up to volunteer, I want to, but- [He glances toward the window almost guiltily, cupping a cup of some greenish looking tea in his hands. It smells faintly of chamomile and seaweed.]

I can't leave Mera right now. Or Kaldur. [His voice lowers a little, saddens as he thinks of another time he had to make a choice between saving a creature of the sea and staying with his family.] My family needs me more. I'm useless like this anyway.

[Kal nods, understanding. He's lucky he only really has Lois, and she doesn't have any powers. He doesn't know if he could stand seeing her suffer, he doesn't know how Arthur is doing it.]

I'm sorry, Arthur. Of course they do, and if there's any way I can help either of you... well. You know. [How many times has he repeated that since this whole thing started?]

Lois and I joined a team, we're still deciding what our course of action will be.

[It's the most difficult part of this whole thing, probably, watching Mera be miserable and not being able to really take her mind off it. The last time her ability to breathe water was taken from her, it was a terrible time.] I know. Just do whatever you can for Asti.
